Alongside US and allied governments and industry partners, the Critical Minerals Forum, a nonprofit, is hosting a one-day industry convening focused on a central question:

“What constitutes a healthy isotope environment in the United States?”

This gathering will bring together leaders from government, industry, research institutions, and emerging technology sectors to:

Identify and characterize real gaps across U.S. nuclear and medical isotope supply chains
Engage with cutting-edge research on novel and next-generation isotope production
Resolve data gaps to inform long-term frameworks for a resilient, commercially viable U.S. isotope ecosystem

NIMI 2026

The day will span the full nuclear and medical isotope landscape, alongside the nuclear and industrial isotopes underpinning advanced manufacturing, national security, and frontier science.

Sessions will move beyond high-level market commentary and into the operational middle ground the industry actually needs: aggregating demand across a 5-10 year horizon, understanding distribution and access bottlenecks, and identifying where private sector and government can work together more effectively—including a candid look at what help, investment, or regulatory clarity industry actually wants from government, if any.

This is a working session, not a trade show. Expect roundtable-style discussion, panels, and small-group working sessions where producers, users, researchers, and federal stakeholders can engage directly on the questions regarding strategic stockpiles, single-isotope facility risk, and whether the industry would benefit from isotope pricing benchmarks.

The day will consist of Working Groups that are framed by industry experts delivering short, 5-7 minute presentations. Speakers from both the private and public sectors will demonstrate their organization’s unique role in the supply chain, what they solve, what gaps currently exist, and how this key node can best benefit from coordination.
